The Institute for Global Ethics has conducted research around the world attempting to find out if there are a CORE set of values common to all people.  Their findings are … there are.  If this is true — and when you have visited their site and read their research, there is no reason to think otherwise — then this knowledge represents a powerful knowing.  It points to a similarity amongst all good people.  If we all have a similar basis for our values, then our understanding of one another can be placed upon a stable foundation — one that we can see and understand in one another.

And while this similarity holds for all people across the globe, it also holds for people near you.  And knowing this gives you a powerful tool for creating positive change and making positive influence.  Do you want to know what they are…?

There’s compassion, honesty, fairness, responsibility, and respect.  All cultures value these regardless of creed or color or religious background.  So, if your actions and the actions of groups you work with are focussed upon using these core values in reaching your goals, aims, and objectives then anything you attempt to accomplish will be guided by natural ‘laws’ of being human.  That’s powerful!  Agree to keep these words central to your team, your group, your family and you are agreeing to synergize your energy through positive, natural, and globally acceptable actions that are based upon core values to being human.  This is truly profound.

New book coming out soon… Look for it!  This one is focussed on the communication patterns and synergy of groups.  THANK YOU to everyone who has purchased The Synergy in Life System.  The PDF’s are rolling out hot.  Its great to serve!

  • Principle Centered Leadership :-)

Stephen Covey wrote a great book… a great big book many years ago.  Principle Centered Leadership.    Here’s what it means to me…

Covey expends a great deal of time and effort focusing the readers attention on natural metaphors.  The enduring law of the farm is the grand, guiding theme of this book.  The first sixteen chapters focus greatly on the development of self, and they culminate in a management model called the Principle Centered Leadership paradigm. It is constructed on the following foundations: the alternate life centers of security, guidance, wisdom, and power; the characteristics of highly effective people; the resolutions of discipline, character and competence, and service; integrity, maturity, and abundance; growth; moral compassing; Principle Centered Power; communication; influence; and balance.  What does all of this mean to me? Section 18 of the Synergy in Life System

Your Desire for Affluence is Natural

Your desire for affluence and your desire to discover and act upon your higher purpose is the reason you are reading this book and progressing through this system.  As you have read this far, it is likely that this system is making sense to you and is believable.  You likely resonate with the belief that a good life is led through the performance of constructive and generative and purposeful action and in its highest form finds expression through ideal health, abundant wealth, and sincere happiness.  You likely also know that when you make the most for yourself, you will have the greatest possible chance of making more for others.  You will most certainly create more life within yourself by realizing your desires of affluence.  You will create more for you and others by being affluent, by: eating the best foods; resting well and without worry; being surrounded by and appreciating beauty; seeing amazing sites; reading nourishing words; creating; experiencing joy and wonder in others; realizing your purpose; engaging in excellent activity, engendering health, enjoying wealth, and glowing with happiness.  Allow yourself to believe that you were brought to life in this life giving universe to rise to your greatest possible heights during your time on this earth.  Allow yourself to believe that your desire of affluence is natural and good.

You can live your life completely and as it was intended through your realization of your desire for affluence.  Just like the flower is able to be moved, so can you move yourself and create conditions of affluence in your life.  Seeking affluence is seeking the capacity for a larger and more fulfilling expression of natural life; it is a natural energy that is seeking fulfillment within you.  It is a natural desire and a natural birthright.  Your desire for affluence is natural and right.

I had a wild experience somewhere over 20 years ago now.  This is an excerpt from The Synergy in Life System.  Section 13.

    Landscaping the Mind

I met a remarkable man who was working as a landscaper during the summer of 1989; at that time, he planted a powerful thought in my mind: the idea of us as human beings resonating at the same rate as the experience we desire.  This was a powerful awakening for me.

I was undertaking life as a university student and working hard to pay for the up-coming year of study through my newly formed business, installing underground sprinklers.  On this particular day, the landscaping gentleman and I were working on the grounds of a stunning home that overlooked the beautiful city of Vancouver.  He was planting shrubs and grass, and I was laying sprinkler pipe into the ground.  We talked generally at first and then more deeply and philosophically as we grew comfortable with one another.  At one point he stopped and looked at me hard as if to pierce my soul, then he pointed to the city below us.  He said, “Do you see all those tall buildings clustered in the center of the city down there?” I admitted that I did.  He continued with, “well, those represent commerce, money and wealth; and the area over there,” he said, “do you know what goes on in that part of the city?”  I guessed from his first comment that he was contrasting the commercial center by pointing in the general direction of one of the seedier parts of the city.  I said, “Drugs and crime?”  He looked at me again, and nodded.  “Yes, that part of town represents a miserable way of living.  There exists everything in between as well, we know that, but those two areas represent the extremes of existence.” I nodded that I understood.  He went on to say, “Both of those parts of society have existed since societies began.  There have always been those that live in luxury and those that live in squalor, and your life will be based upon,” he said, then took a pause of considerable effect, “which one you choose to resonate with.”

We talked more that day, and then parted ways.  I don’t know his name, but will never forget this profound and enlightened man.  Each day I appreciate his poignant and lasting influence as I think the thoughts, make choices, and take action to resonate with affluence and purpose.

Purposeful, harmonious, directed thought and resonance…  If everything everywhere has and is energy, then there is a great logic to learning to understand and gain control of energy.  If you resonate with anger and resentment, that’s what you’ll get.  If you resonate with purpose and optmism, then you are developing a condition of what you want in your life.  This is section 12 of The Synergy in Life System.  Enjoy.  Thanks, Douglas Leadbetter M.Ed. • A Mind Bending Experience

Posted on February 21st, 2009 drl 2 comments

Had an excellent day yesterday.  I invested in learning.  Learning from some pretty cool people.  It was a mind bending experience!

At this site, we talk about and are developing the systems of the individual towards the massive positive power found in synergy; and, we talk about and are developing the systems of groups towards that same power of synergy.

What I found out yesterday from Will Richardson is just how interesting and powerful a web of connections there are in the effective use of the Internet.  His day long conversation with our group was inspiring and at the same time uncannily related to the development and refinement of systems. PASSION is one of my favorite words as it can be used to describe something that is meaningful and purposeful, live-giving, and interesting.  One person passionate about any topic creates a force.  Many people working together to enhance and challenge one another’s understanding about a topic of common passion creates an elemental force! Vibration

Let’s look at what most people know from past experiences while continuing to develop the concept of pervasive vibrating energy.  Most people have at some time during science class in high-school or while watching an informative television show been told that matter is made up of various groupings and combinations of atoms with their orbiting electrons and protons which oscillate about each other in a vibratory movement, maintaining a fixed spacing from one another.   And, these ‘solid’ materials are at the deepest level vibrating energy which is the building block that builds the particles that build atoms.  It makes sense that something is at root of all things, yet all of the things that the average person can see and experience in daily life as solid such as a table, a chair, a rock for example are at their most fundamental and basic level, concentrated forms of vibrating energy; furthermore, each of the differing types of matter experienced in our reality is a concentration of energy that is vibrating at the rate that constitutes that particular type of matter.  It’s true, and understanding this truth builds an impressive platform to launch many profound thoughts, choices, and actions.  Read the rest of this entry »

    Synergy

The true power, true synergy comes when focus is given to the vision of the person or of the group.   It is when a focus is placed on the ideals, values, and beliefs of a person or group that synergy has a possibility of occurring.  In individuals it occurs when focus is complete and not forced.  There are techniques for achieving this state.  For groups, it occurs when shared focus is clearly articulated and communicated, and each person on the team or in the group gives their effort to their individual role – knowing the function of their role and their purpose in achieving the overall vision of the group.

As an individual, as it is in a group, the vision and purpose must be articulated.  A ship at sea is rather aimless and wastes a great deal of energy if there is not port to sail to.  So it is with individuals and groups.  The trick is in the techniques used to achieve synergy.  The keys to this system is being laid out for you in The Synergy in Life System posts and in the book; the keys to achieving synergy in groups is on the way….
